3 Easy Ways to Give Where You Live
It’s a simple idea: Give where you live. And this year, WBNA makes it simple to do, by organizing three local giving opportunities that promise a positive impact in the lives of neighbors.
#1) West Side Schools Food Drive | In its 2nd year, WBNA’s West Side Schools Food Drive collects canned and boxed food items as well as gift cards to local grocery stores for families in need at our neighborhood schools. Drop off at WBNA or at our collection bins located at Seven Stars on Broadway, Hudson Street Deli, and Sin Bakery. Details and suggested food items here. Through November 9.
#2) Coat Drive for BND Coat Exchange | As a community, let’s gather a huge amount of new and gently used coats, gloves and other warm things for children and adults for the 21st annual Buy Nothing Day Coat Exchange. See a complete list of needed items here. Drop off at WBNA, 8:30am to 5pm, Mon-Thurs. Through November 21.
#3) West End Community Center Toy Drive | WBNA is collecting new and unwrapped toys for the West End Community Center Holiday Toy Drive, benefitting children ages 18 months to 13 years of age who attend WECC’s toddler, preschool and youth programs. Details here. Drop off at WBNA, 8:30am to 5pm, Mon-Thurs. Through December 14.
