Summer Learning Program:
The Science and the Beauty of Gardening

Who: K – 3 Graders
When: Every Mondays and Wednesdays ǀ July 10 – August 9, 2017 ǀ 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Orientation: Knowing the program and families ǀ July 5, 2017 ǀ 9:30 AM – 11 AM
Where: CSEA office on 270 Elmwood Avenue, Providence RI 02907
Cost: Free

Program Focuses:

Five-week long gardening classes will provide students with scientific knowledge and gardening skills. Throughout the program, students will learn about where food comes from, what plants need in order to grow, and how to prepare healthy snacks. Through hands-on activities and the majority of time spent in a Southside Community Land Trust garden site, the students will explore how to be stewards of the natural world and learn about plants from diverse cultures.
